I discovered the great Northwest after my career as a university professor of world religions was well underway. I returned repeatedly to the magical waterways and islands of the Inside Passage and a new world opened for me: maritime skills of piloting and navigation, history of
the Northwest, native cultures, environmental protection, fishing, salmon,
eagles, bears, wolves.

Now, as a Captain, my experience as a teacher helps me share my passion for the Northwest with others. I welcome the opportunity to discuss your dreams for cruising beyond the ordinary. I will also provide assistance in developing your docking, navigation, and yacht management skills, or deliver your yacht anywhere in the Northwest or the Inside Passage.
