A person could spend a
lifetime exploring the waters
of Southeast Alaska. While the
larger towns--Ketchikan,
Juneau, Sitka, Skagway--are
overrun by tourists from the
mega-cruise liners, some of
the smaller places--Tenakee
Springs, Hoonah, Pelican,
Elfin Cove-- are just delightful.
My favorite week in Southeast
is between Sitka and Baranof
Warm Springs, through Peril
Strait.
